Townhouse Garden for Retirement

“Downsizing to a townhouse required smaller low maintenance areas. Sarah, with her expansive knowledge of plants and materials, prepared a 1:100 plan to accommodate and reflect the wish list discussed at an on site meeting. The plan featured the use of a variety of materials, structures and contouring along with an advice on suitable trades and suppliers. With the hardscaping and plantings now in place the combination provides a unique setting of textures and colours, to sit back, relax and enjoy watching it mature. Returning clients, Sandy and Col came back for help to plan their ‘downsized townhouse garden’. Following through on a similar theme from their last suburban garden design, the use of rustic materials, hardy native plants & allocation of ‘zones of use’, allowed Colin to utilise his enthusiasm and skilled technical hand to bring this small garden project together with the help of Sandy (to keep the boundaries in place) and John Anderson, landscaper extraordinaire, who has mastered the art laying Crazy Pave.
